IIUC, the needs for a custom parser are for autocompletion. Is there something 
else?
If not, how about an approach like KDevelop, where the autocompletion stuff is 
saved in a database? Does the special are info (PHP, etc) need to be 
associated with a node?

P.S.: I'm on #quanta when online. It would be cool if more developers joined. 
I didn't ask Andras too because I know of his internet connection.
