Subject: [Quanta] Time to Move On

It is most unfortunate that Quanta Plus is not being actively developed
and has been more or less abandoned by the community. It has come to
having to rely on KDE3 reincarnations, much prodding and tweaking, and
the generosity of one dedicated maintainer (for whom much appreciation
is given.)

I happily used Quanta Plus for several years until it was time to dive
into HTML5 and CSS3. Again, I found the hassle of trying to tweak QP,
for instance, to recognize the DTD and new tags, not worth the trouble.

As hard as it was to move away from QP, I am now using Aptana 3 as my
IDE of choice for my web design needs. So far, it has proven to be an
excellent replacement with a myriad of features to make life easier. And
it also runs on Linux, which is a necessity.

Regards
