I've had a difficult time with the transition to KDE4 since neither Quanta nor KDiff3 were available. (At least kdesvn was available.) I compiled KDiff3 and got that working, but I simply need to find the shortest path to getting a working development environment at my new job on new hardware (laptop). Spending days dealing with all the challenges of KDE4 (e.g. Konsole doesn't support the same notion of bookmarks the way it used to) has led me to finally use Eclipse, PDT and subclipse as the IDE. I still hope to see continued development on Quanta, but I'm more concerned than ever that there aren't enough resources to compete with PDT. Anyway for those who need help getting Eclipse installed, I did write up an article http://freephile.com/wiki/index.php/Eclipse -- Greg Rundlett Web Developer - Initiative in Innovative Computing http://iic.harvard.edu m. 978-764-4424 o. 978-225-8302 skype/aim/irc/twitter freephile http://profiles.aim.com/freephile _______________________________________________ Quanta mailing list Quanta@mail.kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/quanta
