If so, you may as well run KDE :) In Konquerer run this command: ftp://example.com[:port] Do you get the FTP credentials prompt? Also in linux, try doing a $ telnet example.com 21 USER foo PASS xxx and see if you can connect Cheers James On 7/22/07, Szymon Kosok wrote: > > Hello Quanta devs and users. > > I've fall in love with Linux again, after two years of seperation, and > want to use Quanta. ;-) I'm using GNOME as my window manager, and the > problem is... Do you have all of the required kde dependencies installed? If so, you may as well run KDE :)

In Konquerer run this command:
ftp://example.com[:port]
Do you get the FTP credentials prompt?

Also in linux, try doing a
$ telnet example.com 21

USER foo
PASS xxx

and see if you can connect

Cheers
James

Hello Quanta devs and users.

I've fall in love with Linux again, after two years of seperation, and
want to use Quanta. ;-) I'm using GNOME as my window manager, and the
problem is... When I open file via FTP, then want to save it, Quanta
says that it cannot do that. It's normal behaviour under GNOME?

It's not permission problem on FTP site. Under Windows everything is
allright. There are no error messages on ftp site.
