I quickly found a guide for setting this up on FreeBSD (your platform) usin= g=20 google: (Query: freebsd apache mysql php) http://www.mydigitallife.info/2006/04/14/installing-web-server-in-freebsd-6= 0-with-apache-22-mysql-50-and-php-5-part-5/ There are others, and I do not use FreeBSD, so could not tell you how=20 accurate/easy the guide really is, but it looks ok, and you can probably ge= t=20 help from the FreeBSD support channels (irc, mail-list, etc) and probably g= et=20 more help then the Quanta list in this regard... Anyway, once you have your Apache and PHP setup on your laptop, just put yo= ur=20 php documents in your apache web root (perhaps /var/www/). You can then us= e=20 your php applications by opening a browser and connecting to localhost: http://localhost/ Hope this helps... By the way... webdevelop questions probably belong on this list: kdewebdev-webdeveloper@mail.kdewebdev.org. as the quanta list is really for quanta specific questions.... wireless cards can be fun :-(.... with anything but windows (or maybe mac=20 osx)... Probably best to ask on the FreeBSD support channels, you are more= =20 likely to get an answer there... =2D-=20 Andrew Lowe System Administrator & Programmer Information Technology Manildra Group Email: andrew.lowe@manildra.com.au Phone: 02 4423 8270 Mobile: 04 1323 8270 =46ax: 02 4421 7760 On Saturday 12 May 2007 10:01:27 Admin wrote: > Greetings to all, > I dual boot FreeBSD 6.2 RELEASE on a Dell laptop. > I currently reside in a KOA in Brigham City, UT. > They have wireless Inet here, however, if I want to use the "good" side > of my hard drive, I have to take it over to the office and plug the cat5 > in.
