Thanks Andras.   As nice as Quanta is to work with I should have known 
these bugs lie elsewhere.  See Below.

This seems very similar to an old (2003) bug ( Bug 54283

after folding ) that has been resolved.  Hard to believe updated FC4 
still has it.  Did not find anything more relevant.

In Kate  Bug 110483 <http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=110483>: Too
