I agree with what he says. It seems that the quanta project (actually the whole kwebdev thing) is a good example of how distributed processing is best done: 1. Everybody works on the bit they are interested in. 2. Everybody shares a common interface and COM(munication) system. 3. Anybody may make a report (bug, enhancement, etc.) and the person getting the report must first figure out which team is responsible. Then, if resources permit, he forwards to the right team. But in low funded projects, we (users, having great benefit for low cost) must help the communications by forwarding our report to the right team. We trust that Andras sends us to the correct team (like kate, for the current example). Tires are a weak parallel because autos are not open systems, though enthusiasts might change to Pirellis or Dunlops if they fit the Ford. The car makers seem to adopt more responsibility, in exchange for more profits. We really want the kate ppl to handle kate issues because they're the experts on the editor involved. Any changes to indenting behavior would necessarily be theirs to manage! - -- - ---------------------------------------- Quanta Plus!
