I think was the problem. The up-to-date kdesdk is missing and Quanta 
crashes with the old (non-compatible) one. This seems to be a suse 
issue.

The README file. And you can ask here if you are stuck.

When Quanta crashes and a backtrace is generated, it should give us more 
info. So just re-send the backtrace after the crash.
