Yes. but what is the problem with it? This is what I don't get now:

1) If the problem is that it appears and while it is shown, you cannot 
use CTRL-TAB unless you press ESC first: see my comment regarding 
disabling autocompletion and the Kate issue.
2) If the problem is that it appears and never disappears: use KDE 3.5.0
