3.4.x, believe me or not is not the latest. 3.4.3 is the latest stable, 
but this bug might be fixed (accoridng to my hopes) in 3.5.
What you can get is grab the 3.5RC1 source from download.kde.org 
(kdewebdev package), compile and try it.
