Why are you embarrassed? it is not like every user has read the KDE
whitepapers and manuals (there are none - at least not useful ones - or
if they exist, they're not readily accessible). I've been running KDE
off and on since it hit Linux distributions and I'm still learning new
things about it weekly if not daily.

I think the only ones who REALLY understand KDE are those who took the
time to read the source code or actively work on one of the KDE
projects. I never have - I've instead been looking for whitepapers
because I want to learn the logic behind the various conf/rc/etc config
files without having to read source for a project I just want to USE
rather than develop.

No offense intended toward any KDE members reading this; H's comment
just hit a pet peeve of mine (absent or inadequate documentation).
