In SuSE (in yast) it is possible to install all the -devel packages for
the currently installed libraries. I don't know about other
distributions.

Well, partly it is the distribution's fault who does not install the
devel packages by default to save some disk space...

This is because of what I wrote in that mail. BTW kdewebdev 3.4.2 should
have the fix inside.

This is not needed to be set on some distributions, but it does not hurt
what you did.

In the report you should get a description why they are needed. If you
don't need those functionalities, you don't have to install them.
