Hi!

The log shows that the debugger plugin is opened and read, the log output is 
very similar to that of mine when I run quanta.

I cant think of any other reasons than the quanta binary and the plugin 
mismatching. 

If you do
$ ls -al /usr/kde/3.4/lib/kde3/quantadebuggergubed.la
$ ls -al `which quanta`
Do they show the same date?
