Hi Matt,
Have you tried choosing "run application..." from the KDE menu, then
typing the word "quanta" (no quotes of course).
Alternatively, you could try typing "quanta &" at the command line.
For a more permanent solution, use the KDE menu editor to add a
launcher which fires off the "quanta" command and if you like, you
can click on the icon button to navigate to /usr/shared/icons/ and
find an icon for Quanta in there.
