Would an option to keep a cache of the Document Structure on disk be
feasible? This way when you open a file and it's doc cache is current,
then you wouldn't need to reparse the doc, same goes for switching tabs.

My wiki software, DokuWiki, keeps a page cache so that it doesn't have
to reparse the document everytime it's displayed by the browser.

Just an idea.
