I can't advise you much on this, since my experience with C++ is only a
couple of steps beyond "Hello World". Konqueror and Quanta both use the
same implementation of webdav, via a C++ library called KIO. I've never
had problems with different settings in the two, but then I only have
used webdav for a couple of small projects.

On the somewhat-advice end, a few questions from a non-expert. Does the
problem just happen when you *save*, but not when you access the file?
Can you edit & save the files using KWrite? And what exactly is the
error message? Are you behind a proxy? (I've had huge problems with
proxies lately)
