Leave the virtual links aside for a moment.  Every area needs to be 
connected to a backbone abr. The remote machines need an interface in 
the backbone as well as a local area. Try using the more specific 
network statement per 192.168 lan and put each 192.168 in a different 
area, and see the result. Why do you have 2 sets of gateways? perhaps a 
diagram would help.
