All,
I am currently running quagga version 0.96.1 with the following
configuration:
|
| Area 1
[B]
|
| Area 0
|
[A]
/ \
/ \
Area 0 __/ \__ Area 0
/ \
/ Area 0 \
[C]-----------[D]---- Area 2
| |
Area 3 | | Area 2
| |
[E]
|
Area 3 |
|
The links A-B, A-C, A-D, and C-D are basically GRE over IPSec connections
(PPP mode). The above four links forms the Area 0. B has its own local
ethernet interface and this interface forms Area 1. D has two local ethernet
interfaces and those interfaces form Area 2. C is connected to another box E
running quagga via local ethernet and E has another local ethernet. Link C-E
and the other E's local ethernet interface form Area 3.
The above configuration works great most of the time. However, when C is
rebooted, or the link A-C or C-D goes down and comes back again, or D is
rebooted, E will completely lose route to Area 1 or Area 2 (depending if it
is A-C down or C-D down). When the above situation happens, I can see the
full routes to all areas on C once the link to A or D comes up. However,
those routes does not seem to be picked up by E sometimes. If I restart
OSPFd on either C or E, E will pick up the full routes to all areas right
after. Could someone help me out and point me the to right direction?
Thanks!
zxu
