this is indeed an interesting idea.  It is very nice to see that this is
based on the Solaris implementation, because this removes the problem of
having 2 different implementation lines.

Can you provide a slightly more detailed view of what the neccessary
work would be?  Do you know the status of the TRILL on Linux project, is
it mostly working and needs cleanup or are there major missing features?

Also, can you add a few more words abour yourself?  Do you have
programming experience in C, in particular in networking code?
