Bah! Just like Hitchikers Guide to the Galaxy. Now I know the answer, I
have to find the right question.
Turns out the development tree of OpenVPN has a "topology subnet" patch
which solves the problem.
I now have another issue with packets being blocked. But the routing
seems to be working fine... :)
