Giovanni:
thanks for testing the image clipper and the modified
zoom-to-point. I thing that I have fixed the zoom-to-point, could you
please try that again and let me know how it works. I have edited the
icon in order to distinguish it from the previous icon.

Once I am sure that both plugins work then I will add myself to the
plugin repository list (assuming that I can edit the wiki OK)

  <pre wrap="">Hi,

thanks for the plugin! it seems to work fine also under linux.

Could you please consider publish it in the community repository, or ask
to add your repository among the ones that are available in qgis?

This way your plugin would reach much more people and you will have
indeed more feedback from the users.

Under Linux I'm getting an error while installing the modified zoom to
point plugin

"The plugin seems to have been installed but I don't know where.
Probably the plugin package contained a wrong named directory.

Please search the list of installed plugins. I'm nearly sure you'll find
the plugin there, but I just can't determine which of them it is. It
also means that I won't be able to determine if this plugin is installed
and inform you about available updates. However the plugin may work.
Please contact the plugin author and submit this issue."

thanks in advance
regards

    <pre wrap="">Hi:
I have a plugin available that people may be interested in testing.
This can be used to extract and combine portions of one or more image
layers in QGIS. I have only used this on Windows but hopefully it would
work OK in Linux also. You can get it and some test data by going to the
page: <a class="moz-txt-link-freetext" \
href="http://www.mappinggeek.ca/QGISPythonPlugins/Bobs-QGIS-plugins.xml">http://www.mappinggeek.ca/QGISPythonPlugins/Bobs-QGIS-plugins.xml</a> \

. We have been using this plugin a lot at my workplace to extract the
useable portions of scanned photography that we have georeferenced using
the GDAL Georeferencer plugin.

There is also the zoom-to-point plugin that I have tweaked to work
better with zoom levels.
