Hey Mark!

I'm doing that. Let me recommend a couple of tools:
(a) PythonCard
(b) wxGlade - haven't tested with Python2.5 but works w. earlier version
(c) book: "wxPython in Action" excellent read, whether you use (a) or  
(b)
