Bug #126612, was updated on 2000-Dec-21 08:52
Here is a current snapshot of the bug.
Project: Python/XML
Category: 4Suite
Status: Open
Resolution: None
Bug Group: None
Priority: 5
Submitted by: afayolle
Assigned to : nobody
Summary: 4DOM: handling attribute default value
Details: Hi there,
I tried to investigate this, but got stuck with the lack of Sax2 support, since \
resolution involves accessing a DTD object.
The DOM spec says that Element.removeAttribute should do the following: "If the \
removed attribute is known to have a default value, an attribute immediately appears \
containing the default value as well as the corresponding namespace URI, local name, \
and prefix when applicable."
This is not the case in the current implementation of 4DOM.
