Please disregard.
I worked-around this by explicitly specifying --qmake \
/Users/david/Documents/dev/sysroot/sysroot-macos-64/Qt/bin/qmake (Although I expected \
simply having this bin first in my $PATH would suffice, that assumption was my \
mistake.)
