Hi Phil,

I have been experimenting with mypy, and noticed this error:

  PyQt5/QtCore.pyi:6215: error: invalid syntax

That line is:

  class QRandomGenerator(sip.simplewrapper):
      ...

      @staticmethod
      def global() -> 'QRandomGenerator': ...

Maybe you can change that method to global_?
