It's a great book - unfortunately it's a bit dated though, and teaches
you some stuff you should rather not use anymore nowadays (Qt4, old
QVariant/QString/... API, old signal/slot API, arguably python 2).
I'd personally recommend some more up-to-date thing to get started,
and then that book to get a deeper understanding, but only when you're
fluent enough to recognize the outdated things.
I'd love if there was an updated version of it, which is why I took
the liberty of Cc'ing Mark here (hint, hint) ;)
