You can easily use IPython to control your app, BUT only if ipython is
standing in the console.

A wx UI for IPython has been implemented, and is bundled with IPython
0.8.3 (IPython/gui/wx directory). If you'd like to implement qt4
equivalent, you are welcome to help :-).
