I'm running Sarge with the Woody packages for KDE. The Sid packages for KDE 
wanted to install the transitional qt3 packages and other cruft which seemed 
like it would cause all sorts of problems.

I'll try reverting python2.2 down to version 2.2.1-6. That seems to be the 
most recent which the new gcc 3.2 stuff.
