I thought it best to get this out now since my internet link is
going down for a while this morning (hopefully not for much longer
than that ... )

I just downloaded Phil's latest sip/PyQt changes, and those should
take care of the major outstanding issues with PyKDE2. There are
some minor problems which may cause some inconvenience in a few
cases, but those can be fixed after the initial release.

So it appears right now that the Aug 7 date I quoted for an initial
release is still a good date and if we get real lucky, the release
may even come a day or two early.

I'll update again when the status changes.
