This means ./configure --without-pymalloc --with-cycle-gc and this
works for me too.

AFAIK, python-2.0 in the future Mandrake-8.0 is compiled --with-pymalloc.

Dunno, if there is a problem between sip/PyQt and Python's new faster
object allocator, or if it is just Python-2.1b2
