Nope - PyQt is happy with 1.5.2, 1.6 or 2.0.

You need a later Qt.

It's actually a bug in PyQt where I've got some version information
slightly wrong but it only affects an early version of Qt v2. I've
haven't fixed it because it's such an old version of Qt.

BTW - the original question mentioned PyKDE. PyKDE only supports KDE
v1.x at the moment - which needs Qt v1.x. Make sure you have the right
combination of packages for what you want to do.
