Hi,

Pure-ftp logs to /var/ftp.{notice,info,}.log. Not everything is logged. An
example would be a client connects to server and downloads a file. This results
in line

date hostname pure-ftpd: (user@remotehost) [NOTICE] /path downloaded (speed)

in ftp.notice.log and in lines

date hostname pure-ftpd: (user@remotehost) [INFO] New connection from host
date hostname pure-ftpd: (user@remotehost) [INFO] user is now logged in

in ftp.info.log

There is, however, one client, a security camera, that does not produce
anything in any log. The camera connects to the server every second or two and
uploads an image. Everything works, camera connects, file gets uploaded but
nothing appears in log.

This behaviour began just after last machine's reboot, which was a result of IP
address change (i.e. since the reboot, machine has different IP).

There are more cameras that do not work at all (i.e. no image is uploaded) since
that reboot, but as there is nothing in logs, I can't tell where the problem is.
Nothing else was changed neither in server configuration nor in cameras
configuration (all cameras, including the functioning one, have a server
hostname set instead of IP and hostname was not changed).

Machine runs latest debian stable with pure-ftpd from distro's package
(v. 1.0.24-1)

any tips?

thx,

 -jakub.
