I asked a few days ago about problems with the parameters -x and -X on 
debian etch.

The problem is still unsolved, but possibly this is a better description 
of the "failure".

Authenticated users don't see hidden files (.filename) in directory-listing.
They are able to upload these files, but can't delete directories that 
include such an unvisible file.
Authentication works with mysql-backend.

Where do I have to look for a solution?
