Cultural Humility in Public Libraries: Colleagues
<https://infopeople.org/civicrm/event/info?id=954&reset=1> & Customers

An Infopeople 3-week online course, February 2 - 22, 2021

Are you curious about the term cultural humility? At its root, cultural
humility requires one to acknowledge inequality and take action. This online
course will introduce cultural humility as a concept for professional
practice. We will focus on your role as colleague and as a professional and
will link the concepts of cultural humility to librarianship. We will
explore personal identity and culture. We will also examine how culture and
identity translate to a deliberate practice of cultural humility in the
workplace.

This course includes weekly online meetings, application activities, and
forum discussions. The instructor will provide additional resources, and
concrete tips and techniques that can be applied immediately.

Online Meetings Dates:

*	Meeting One: February 3, 2021 10 am Pacific Time/ 11am Mountain
Time/ 12pm Central Time/ 1pm Eastern Time (75 minutes)
*	Meeting Two: February 11, 2021 10 am Pacific Time/11 am Mountain
Time/ 12pm Central Time/ 1pm Eastern Time (60 minutes)
*	Meeting Three: February 17, 2021 10 am Pacific Time/11 am Mountain
Time/ 12pm Central Time/ 1pm Eastern Time (60 minutes)

Please make every effort to ensure that you are able to attend these three
meetings before enrolling in the course. If this is not possible, archived
recordings will be made available.

Note: This course was previously taught in April 2020 and has now been
expanded to a 3-week format.
