Library Director position-Louisville Public Library (OH)

Are you ready to lead? The Board of Trustees of the Louisville Public \
Library<https://www.louisvillelibrary.org/home> seeks a responsive and team-oriented \
Library Director to provide support and direction to staff and bring experience and \
vision to the Library. Located in northeastern Ohio, the Library serves the 18,769 \
residents of the Louisville City School district. Governed by a seven-member Board \
of Trustees, the Library provides excellent and varied services and programs with \
17.45FTE staff and a $1.2 million annual operating budget. Successful passage of a 1 \
mill operating levy in 2015 provides 33% of the Library's operating expenses, and the \
Library will have a 1 mill renewal levy on the ballot in November 2019. The Library \
recently debuted its ground-breaking Sensory Strategy Program and \
Space<https://www.louisvillelibrary.org/services/sensory-space>, which provides a \
unique area offering specialized equipment, programming and environment and is \
dedicated to the special-needs community. This program space was funded by a grant \
from the Institute of Museum and Library Services and is the first of its kind among \
public libraries in Ohio.

Known as "Constitution Town," Louisville<https://www.louisvilleohio.com/> is located \

enjoy close proximity to stellar professional baseball, football and basketball teams \
as well as the nearby Pro Football Hall of Fame. Louisville has plenty to offer \
local history aficionados - the city's historic downtown district includes several \
buildings listed on the National Register of Historic Places and has an active \
Historical Society and Art Gallery. There is something for every age in Louisville, \
including active youth sports groups and family-friendly festivals such as the annual \
Constitution Day celebration. For more information about the Library, the community \
