Publibbers:  The Michigan Library Association has two new publications that 
may be of value to you:  
    a)  An attractive tri-fold brochure listing print and web sites for 
children (like the Beanie Babies home page ).  Created by the Childrens 
Services Division of MLA, this helpful list offers ideas for parents, too, 
as the family ventures out onto the web together.  25 brochures to a packet  
$12.00  includes postage.      b)  MLA held a Telecommunications Summit and 
has published a compilation of the presentations and recommendations that 
were part of that day's activities.  Entitled "A State Connected:  Michigan 
Libraries and the Public Interest in the Information Superhighway,"  the 
document was intended to highlight how access issues are important to the 
state.  As a result of this initiative, more has been accomplished for 
schools and libraries as they seek to improve public access to digitized 
information.  Copies are available for $10, which includes mailing.
