I would like to direct your attention to an item in the March *American
Libraries,* p. 18.

It describes the harassment of Diane Richmond after she pushed to find out
what had happened to the funds for her division of the Main Library.

This is hardly a new issue at CPL; discovering what black hole your money
had disappeared into was an old old story there.

Having been there, and knowing Diane is on the side of the angels -- as
well as knowing Diane and remembering fondly our struggles in the not so
dim and distant past -- may I suggest that concerned librarians -- OK, all
you fellow ex-CPLers -- let Diane know she has a support network.
