Hi all,

I just joined the list to comment on the recent thread started by Sam Kuper ("psad on \
Ubuntu 8.04 Server: syslogd not piping to psadfifo").  I too had the line

kern.info\t|/var/lib/psad/psadfifo

in my syslog.conf, and psad didn't work.  Same symptoms as Sam's.  Changed the line \
to

kern.info |/var/lib/psad/psadfifo

and now it seems to work.  At least, now I have data in /var/log/psad/fwdata, whereas \
I didn't before.
