Summary: Connecting to a college residental network

Initial Comment:
Privoxy 3.0.6
Windows XP
Mozilla Firefox version 3.5.7
Attempts to connect to any web page fails.
I use Windows Firewall and Tor. Tor is also unable to establish an encrypted \
directory connection. I believe it has something to do with the access points of both \
Privoxy amd Tor. Here is an excerpt while trying to connect to youtube, google, and \
my college's network information page: "Jan 26 01:12:23 Privoxy(00000ca4) Connect: OK

Message:
It's hard to tell who's refusing the connections here, but my guess would
be that there's a firewall that doesn't allow direct connections to the
outside. Are you sure you aren't required to use an internal proxy to leave
the network?

BTW, Privoxy 3.0.6 is several years out of date. I don't think this has
anything to do with the problem at hand, but you should consider updating
anyway.
