Aren't you using the curl bindings? curl supports SOCKS5,
therefore I would assume the the bindings do to.

Lee already mentioned http://www.privoxy.org/user-manual/config.html#TOGGLE,
however in your case I think the best thing to do would be not
to use Privoxy at all.
