Summary: CPU spike on Mac OS X

Initial Comment:
I don't know if anyone else has experienced it, but Privoxy 3.0.8 is spiking to as \
much as 95% of CPU on my Mac (Powerbook G4, OS X 10.3.9). At times it cripples my \
system so badly I thought it must be a hardware problem. I discovered it clears if I \
shut Privoxy down with the Privoxy Utility, then restart it. Happens on all browsers \
-- Camino, Safari, Opera, Firefox.

Looks like the user.action file was the culprit. Some messy regex that I
should have caught. Blame it on operator error, not Privoxy. Thanks to all.

i am unable to replicate the event, but i do not have a mac os x 10.3.9
mac available.

can you replicate it 100% of the time?

are you running privoxy 3.0.8-2 (recently released)?

do you have any custom actions or filters?

... and maxed at 96% when I added
<http://hosted.ap.org/dynamic/fronts/HOME?SITE=AP&SECTION=HOME> in a new
tab. Stayed over 95% after I closed all windows and quit my browser. Did
not clear until I killed and restarted Privoxy.

I can replicate it when I click on one of the links on
http://www.cbc.ca/news/ It's worst if I have another couple of websites
open in tabs. Sometimes the spike hits 95% and then clears; other times it
hits 95% and stays there. A clean uninstall/install of Privoxy 3.0.8 seems
to have helped. We'll see...

I haven't seen this. Have spotted any website consistencies?
