Summary: https xml issues in 3.0.6

Initial Comment:
I have a webserver that returns an XML page with <ID>1</ID>. On http, the request \
works properly, but on https Privoxy replaces the content with: <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC \
"-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN"> <HTML><HEAD>
<META http-equiv=Content-Type content="text/html; charset=shift_jis"></HEAD>
<BODY></BODY></HTML>
according to View->Source under Windows Vista with IE 7.0

My option right now is to disable proxy for https so the request goes through \
unmodified. My understanding was that Privoxy could/did not modify https content (as \
it was encrypted), so why am I getting different results by using http and https?
