This is more an idea to experiment with...   
   
create an x/y table   
x axis denotes action/filer  
y axis denotes action group  
  
         G1   G2  G3  G4  result    
filers    -    -   +   /    +  
block     +    -   /   -    -    
image     /    +   /   /    + 
  
  
the idea is to graphically represent the changes  
occurring through time... at present I have to  
mentally visualize what changes what  
  
also this can be a quick &quot;what if&quot; screen so if you  
change the status of one action/filter it will  
automatically display the results

I think a matrix would be too cumbersome
to read anyway.
