If you configure Privoxy to use socks4a,
the DNS resolving is done by the socks server
and you will not see it on your local machine.

DNS problems occured frequently with older
Tor releases, but with recent versions you
shouldn't get more than a few each day.

Anyway, the next Privoxy release retries if the
the socks4a connection attempt failed with an
error that could be caused by a DNS problem,
and in most cases the second retry will be
successful.
