Was that really necessary? What sort of kernel and Linux distribution
are you using? What version of pptp?

You don't have the ip program installed. This might not be critical.
On Debian systems it is the file /bin/ip provided by the package
iproute.

It does not appear that you have GRE packets arriving from the server.
You can verify this using the tcpdump tests on the FAQ.
