If I understood you well, when Postfix is not running chrooted, the only thing that we loose when the queue directory disappears are the in-transit emails (because postfix-owned directories are re-created automatically later by the 'start' command). If this is so, then I can get more performance by placing the queue on a non-RAID partition. Mark
