We had a very odd situation with 2 of our PM-3's hard locking last night
within moments of each other. This has never happened before (which
makes it odd enough). What makes it even stranger:

The PM3-s are in separate POPs with:

Different versions of Comos - 3.9 and 3.9.1
  Different Telco providers
Different physical locations (no common power, etc.)
  Different IP subnets
  Different OSPF areas

2 other PM-3's (there are two at each location) were completely
unaffected by the problem. The PM3's at each location had been power
cycled at the same time so the ones at location A had 54 days runtime
and the other 71 days.

The boxes that locked up were completely unresponsive to console port,
Ethernet, and the incoming PRI/CT1's. Power cycle restored operation.

All PM3's log to a common syslog with nothing unusual in the log files.

I can not think of any explanation for this (at least not that I care to
speculate on).

If anyone else has seen something along these lines I would be
interested in hearing about it.
