Hi Linus, sorry got your name wrong :). Here's another way to get the 
debug

In /var/log or where ever you prefer, touch pptpd.log.
Edit /etc/ppp/options.pptpd like so

dump
logfd 2
debug
logfile /var/log/pptpd.log

restart pptpd than do a tail -f /var/log/pptpd.log.
