Hi, thanks for fixing. Wworks fine on my Linux hosts (Ubuntu
6.06/8.04/10.04/12.04/14.04, SuSE 9.0/9.2, NetBSD 5.1/6.1).

On Ubuntu 6.06 the system compiler (4.0.4) produced segfaults with -O2
but not with -O0. Switching to gcc47 from pkgsrc worked.

On a heavily modified SuSE10.0 I still keep getting segfaults, but
that is probably some other compiler issue I need to investigate.
