This reminds me.. I've always thought it would be cool to try to get
pine to save a password to the keychain and read from the keychain on OSX.
It's fairly low on my "projects I'll probably never even start, let alone
finish" list though.
Also, I think there's a partial problem -- it probably wouldn't work if you
are ssh-ed into another OSX machine (because I believe the keychain requires
you to have a connection to the window server, which means logged in locally)..
But the failure case in that situation would just be to ask you to type in
your password.
(Having account *and* password info on the keychain would be even easier, but
probably would be a much bigger job.)
If anybody wants to whip up a patch to attempt this, I'll definitely test it
out for you.
